Austin Scottish Rite Dyslexia Foundation Sporting Clays Fundraiser

  • Our district is proud of our Dyslexia program and the services we provide our students. Our Dyslexia Specialists are skilled and knowledge and continue to grow, thanks to the Scottish Rite and their support. With the Scottish Rite grant, we are able to offer training and professional development for our team. This in turn, impacts our student with dyslexia and their academic and social success.

  • This training had a positive impact on the campuses because it provided teachers with additional strategies and materials to assist with the growing number of students entering our schools with dyslexia or reading difficulties. The training also provided an opportunity for teachers to come together and learn the program, as well as learn from each other. The teachers were able to collaborate and assist each other with questions throughout the year.

  • With the help of the Scottish Rite Dyslexia Foundation grant we have been able to purchase testing materials in order to identify students with dyslexia.  These up to date formal assessments have been instrumental in the identification process in our district. We are so appreciative of this generous donation which has helped us build our dyslexic program.
